2010 Support - MySassySleeve® is committed to raising a minimum of $1,000.00 for Klose Lymphedema Care (KLC) in Lafayette, CO to coincide with their 3rd annual celebration of National Lymphedema Awareness Day ( March 6th, 2011). KLC is a full service, outpatient clinic that serves patients with Lymphedema (a chronic condition common to many breast cancer survivors). At KLC, therapists specially trained in the treatment of this condition measure and fit patients for compression garments. Unfortunately, many insurance plans do not cover the costs of these necessary items critical to the long-term management of lymphedema so some women go without. Our goal in making this donation is to assist in the purchase of compression garments so that women can successfully manage their lymphedema and continue to live their lives to the fullest.
